Today was a very exciting day. Why? Well, for starters, it was spent at the spa.
What’s more relaxing than sipping water with lemon while listening to a wind chime fountain?
And a trip to the spa isn’t complete without this:
Can you see the flower on the big toe?
Now, you’re probably thinking, “Sara, why is a day at the spa so exciting?” You’re probably also thinking, “Sara, those clearly aren’t your big boats you call your feet.” Well, they’re not. Those feet belong to the reason this spa day was so very special.

That’s The Pie, and today is her seventh birthday! And for her birthday, she requested a spa party. So her friends came over to relax and get their toenails and fingernails painted. They also made beautiful sand candles and received facials and hand treatments. Everyone enjoyed a tasty lunch, followed by this:
As requested, a Webkinz cake (look it up)
There were also cupcakes with the Webkinz logo, all handmade by the birthday girl’s mother. Seriously, look it up. It’s pretty good! According to the birthday girl, it was an awesome party.
SEVEN! Craziness. I can’t believe she’s seven years old. Although, at this point, it’s hard to believe there was a time when she wasn’t around. And it’s even more difficult to remember this funny little girl as a quiet little baby! Happy birthday, my sweet Pie. I love you so much! In fact, like I always tell you, I couldn’t love you more; it’s impossible! I hope you have the best year being seven years old!

Wish I could have stayed for a day at the spa. To my incredible and beautiful first grandchild, “Happy Birthday, I love you.”
Auntie Sara – not only was the party awesome, but you are too!
To the baker – great job.
To the spa workers – hope they left good tips!

Mama: I don’t know about me being awesome, but the party was a good time. And The Pie says she has a tip for me: “You’re a good toe painter.”

Will you throw me a spa party for MY birthday this year? That looks so fun.
Happy birthday to Miss Seven. (SEVEN? REALLY? Yikes.)

#1 c-o-o-t-s-i-l: You must’ve left yesterday while I was in the shower because I heard you upstairs before I got in. I did indeed get home safely; only one ten-minute nap at the rest stop was needed. And yay for home spas! Perhaps you should rent out your spa for other parties.
Miriam: You were missed, Auntie Moo.
Kristin: You should’ve asked for a spa party for your 30th! And…I KNOW. Yikes fo’ sho.

If you’re going to do an aromatherapy game, maybe skip garlic. It just takes over. For real.

That stinks: So true.

I’m glad you included the note to look up the cake. Being totally out of touch with “kids these days,” I took one glance at the big “W” on the cake and was completely horrified to see a heart above it. How could Auntie Sara possibly stay in the room with such a political statement? Were there WMDs in all other parts of the house?!?

Erin: That’s hilarious! I think I may have made a W comment when I was there. However, I don’t think the other W would have a rainbow-colored logo. And the only WMDs in the house were about a dozen little girls.
