Right?  Right.  So that said, happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

DSCF1623She’s thinking about whether a late Mother’s Day post is acceptable.

Actually, I spent Mother’s Day with my mother…and her mother!  We decided sort of last minute to head to Syracuse overnight.  We had a very nice time and ate lots of tasty food (mmmmm…baked French toast for brunch).

Mama and me…and my enormous forehead.               Granny was pleased to have company for this photo.

We also watched Betty White on Saturday Night Live, which was fantastic.  I dedicate this to you, Mama, and all the other mothers out there:

Mama went to Florida today to visit JP!  Visiting her grandson two days after Mother’s Day is a great gift; better late than never!  I hope her experience in the airport went smoothly.  I forgot to tell y’all what happened to me in the Tampa airport (besides the flight running late): I got chosen for a random security check.  I followed the directions of the security dude, standing on the footprints and holding my hands up like he told me while the machine scanned me.  But, apparently, I didn’t spread my arms far enough apart, so he had to call a female officer over to feel my chest…for bombs, I guess.  Hope you didn’t get felt up in the airport today, Mama.  Unless you wanted to.  Then, well, good for you.

Also in the Tampa airport: Some lady came up to me with her tiny computer and asked how to get on the free wireless.  I had her turn on her computer and walked her through it.  She was very grateful, which was nice.  And she kept her hands to herself.

*And before Miriam writes it, I know how the saying goes: Better late than pregnant!  See 6:57 for proof (sorry, the only link I could find shows the entire scene, although I’m not really sorry because it’s funny and you should watch it):
