1. Saturday morning weigh-in: I gained five pounds this week. What the what? Either it’s five pounds of muscle (oh sure) or my scale is broken (clearly).
2. I got a new medication for the ‘flux a few weeks ago. After picking it up from the pharmacy, I realized it was in gel cap form, which I won’t take if I don’t have to (gel cap = gelatin capsule; gelatin is made (most of the time) from animal bones, in case you didn’t know). So I’ve been opening the capsule and dumping the contents onto a spoonful of applesauce as instructed by the pharmacist, just like a child (or a dog, as one friend pointed out). So I grabbed a spoon out of the dishwasher, since we usually use it as a dish drainer for clean dishes. Except that this week, we were piling the dishes in there to run the stinky thing through. Which I remembered after sucking down my applesauce. Yum!
3. This weekend was snowy and wet in the mornings, so I had to exercise in the basement instead of going outside to run like I wanted to. I still exercised, but being outside if possible is preferable.
4. After what started out as a very healthy Sunday (hard workout, healthy eating), I went and ruined it (as always) by eating approximately one ton of cereal before I went to bed. Perhaps by writing it here, I’ll embarrass myself into thinking about it before repeating that tonight (no guarantees).
Two good things about this past weekend: fun dinner on Friday night and watching the Olympics.
And now it’s Monday. Blurg.

# b-i-l: I was just going to send you a congratulations via BB messenger on your country’s win, although I must admit that I didn’t care enough about the hockey game to watch it. I didn’t watch the closing ceremony either, but I did flip past the channel and saw Shatner’s name; it encouraged me to keep on flipping. I heard there was a blow-up moose on stage! Good thing Sarah Palin wasn’t there to shoot it!

your #3 puts me to shame… how do i go about hiring you as a fitness coach / personal motivator???

Ryan: Perhaps you should reread #1 and #4. There’s my motivation. But if you want to hire me, I’ll send you nasty e-mails or something. Because money motivates me the most!

Hooray to my Canadian children and granchildren!! I watched the hockey game and it was great, but I still have trouble following the puck.
The Mammons are always winners in my view.
Love you all.
