I always think of stuff I want to write about, but then I never get around to it. And then there was the idea of doing some food blogging to keep myself accountable (and I’m always eating so there would always be something to write about!), and then I don’t remember to do it. For example, last night we went out to dinner at The Blue Spice Thai Restaurant, and it wasn’t until I took out my wallet to pay that I remembered I had brought a camera with me to take photos! I did get a picture of my water glass and a few of Mama and Miriam.
I guess I got a couple shots of my water glass, which was never left empty. Great service!
Mama and Miriam’s best shot. Miriam almost kept her eyes open!
I also didn’t take any photos this weekend when my aunt, uncle, and cousins came to see my brother and sister-in-law. Oh, did I mention that my brother and sister-in-law from Israel were here this weekend? I suppose that deserves a mention, but they don’t read my blog anyway. Actually, three of my siblings don’t seem to read my blog. Before she writes something about it, I’ll point out that Miriam is the only sibling who stops by here regularly. And of course my brother-in-law reads the blog regularly; that’s why he’s #1.
Anyway, in other news, I went for a successful 5.5-mile run on Saturday! It was cold and windy, too. And then I got some new running shoes on Saturday afternoon.
I broke them in with a walk with Mama on Sunday and then a less successful but still decent 4.4-mile run on Monday. Our office was closed on Monday, so it was a leisurely day of running, eating, and working on the computer. And then, of course, we went out to dinner where I forgot to take pictures.
I have much more exciting news to share than any of the above (although that shouldn’t be hard): There’s a new man-cub in the blogosphere! Congratulations to Kristin and her husband A. on the birth of their beautiful baby boy! Go immediately to Going Country to wish them a mazal tov and see the cutie’s photo.
And now I bid you adieu; I’m off to prepare for tonight’s Lost viewing! Perhaps you’ll hear from me soon…would that make me a better blogger?

i’m still AMAZED that you run almost 6 miles… even when it’s freezing cold and snowing! i consider it a success if i run 2-2.5 miles. maybe i can hire you to motivate me

Ryan: Don’t be amazed. I don’t know if you can actually call what I do “running.” The Brooks shoes are the best. I was fitted for them a few years ago after wearing a random pair of Adidas that were on sale (I wore the same pair for years). You may remember from a previous post that I changed to another brand this summer for a week and threw out my back. I’d recommend going to a running store (I go to Fleet Feet; is there one by you?) and getting fitted. Totally worth it.

Nice work, Blogger! Glad to see a new post. You could post about the snowstorm, which we both drove in. And might I add, I didn’t cry when driving home from work tonight.

“She’s running running running
running running running
running running all around.
She’s Sara and she’s running ………”
You know the rest!
Dinner was delicious – however, next time no more photos – horrible
I demand that my photo be removed from this post!
Next time I will take your picture with your dinner in front of you.
Look forward to the next post.

You have a blog? Whaaaaa?

Miriam: That wasn’t a snow storm. But glad you didn’t cry.
Mama: Sing it again! And that wasn’t a horrible photo of you. Shall I post the one of you guys laughing hysterically? That one looks weird!
SpiffyB: You’re a funny one.

Glad you updated the blog. Where is the Thai restaurant you went to – I have never heard of it. Lost was great, as usual! And why don’t I know the running song?

Lil: This time we went to the Blue Spice in Delmar; there’s also one on Central Ave. It’s fantastic. Lost was fantastic this week! Terry O’Quinn deserves an Emmy for that episode (and many others). You don’t remember Mama singing that to the kids as they ran around the yard? I have videos I can show you next time you’re in town.

Five and a half miles? Good on ya. I suppose there will come a time when I no longer have an excuse for not running. That time is not now.
