If you didn’t watch the final episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, watch this now:
Classy guy. For real.
And then watch this because it’s funny:
I heart Conan. And Pee Wee.
I had to watch Conan’s final show on my DVR on Saturday because, while it was airing, I was picking Miriam up at the airport. She came home Friday night, but she’s not feeling any better. So that’s not good.
This weekend was pretty relaxed. I didn’t have any plans, so on Saturday, I did something I really wanted to do: I went to the movies! I finally saw Up in the Air.
He can fire me anytime.
Today, after my 4.4-mile run, I did something else I keep wanting to do: I made pancakes! I’m terrible at making pancakes, but these turned out pretty well. I used this recipe from Kath Eats Real Food; I halved the recipe and topped them with pure maple syrup and a sliced banana. Tasty and filling! I didn’t even think about taking a picture because, like I said, my pancakes don’t usually turn out so well. Yay!
I’ve also spent some time reading this book I won:
Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point hosted this giveaway on her site, and I was one of five lucky winners! Thanks, Caitlin (and the SparkPeople.com folks, of course)! I haven’t gotten too far into the book yet, but I’m looking forward to getting some good tips.
And last, but not least:

first of all, glad to see you are still running, you are my inspiration when it comes to that! (although if and when i do run, it’s not exactly 4.4 miles!)
glad to see you are using real maple syrup! when i was growing up in vermont, my father and i used to tap the trees in our front yard and make our own maple syrup
so besides the fact that you really seem to like george clooney, how did you like the movie?

Ryan: I’m hardly an inspiration. My so-called running is more like a slow-motion demonstration of running. And that’s so awesome that you made your own maple syrup! As for the movie, I did like it; I thought it was a bit depressing, but I liked it a lot.
Mama: Jugtacular!

I saw Pee Wee on Conan, and it was instantly one of my favorite moments in TV history. Also, how is Paul Reubens not aging?! Seriously, he looks EXACTLY THE SAME. Both Pee Wee and Prince need to share their non-aging secrets, because I am beginning to think neither one of them is human.

JT: My friend and I said the same thing the other day: Pee Wee doesn’t age! Excessive makeup, perhaps? I’d buy that for both Pee Wee and Prince! Also, do you remember an old HBO special from way back when that introduced Pee Wee to the world? It’s still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
