Fine. I’m a slacker. I’ve been updating my blog for weeks now. Couldn’t you tell?
So. Happy new year! We (Mama, Miriam, and I) went to Syracuse to spend Rosh Hashanah with Granny. Luckily, we didn’t experience a celebration like last year’s. We had a good time (mostly). Mama and I took some long walks through the hills in Granny’s neighborhood. We ate a lot (I love brownies a bit too much). And we sat. A lot.
Three generations sitting on a wall.
And only the middle generation is a good sport.
Ridiculous. Granny, me and all my chins, and Mama, who I’m sure will be thrilled that I’ve shown off her hair secrets.
There was a better one, but it was fuzzy. Please note: The hair is done!
Later on, I met up with my friend (and former coworker) Allison, who moved back to the Syracuse area a couple of years ago. I haven’t seen her since we worked together and took advantage of the extra-long weekend in Syracuse to catch up a bit. We went to have some tasty beverages. Unfortunately, the bees kept chasing us and really enjoyed Allison’s latte.
This one sacrificed itself for a sip of pumpkin spice deliciousness.
Allison loves a hot bee-verage!
Another unfortunate part of this day: I didn’t get a shot of Allison’s chicken impression. Coo-coo-coo-chaw!
The only other thing going on around here besides the usual is the Great Apartment Search of 2009. Miriam and I must be out of our current place at the end of the month, but we haven’t found a new place yet. So far, we’ve seen one place, which is a consideration, and have a lot of phones calls out to other places. If you have a flat or a house you want to rent us for cheap, let me know. Otherwise, move over, Mama!

Nice pics, Sara. It was good to see Granny and the fam. We will find a place to live…mostly because we need a place to put our stuff.

Just remember, Miriam: Wherever you go, there you are.

Well – you were right, not my favorite pictures with the curlers, but that is what I do.
Thanks for the long walks up and down the hills of Bradford and the trot over to the SU campus. Fun, fun, fun.
Please remember to tell Allison there is a better way to get her protein for the day!!
As for the move – whatever you need to do is ok with me.

Wow. Allison. A face from the past. That’s cool you got to see her. She was a fun girl.
We have lots of extra bedrooms, should you ever decide to relocate . . .

Mama: Nothing wrong with curlers. If they actually help your hair stay curly, that is. Not mine!
Kristin: Allison still is a fun girl! And watch out. One of these days, I am going to come up that way. But I’ll probably just stay for a visit. You have too many critters.
Ryan: I don’t even want to begin posting my food intake. I don’t have that kind of time.

Umm…I think you need to proofread your post…”you’ve been updating your blog for weeks now”…NOT.
But glad you have resumed. I am now able to post a response to your post as I have a new modem – a little black box to replace the much larger cream colored box that used to sit atop my computer.
Hope you are having a good day.

Lil, I guess my sarcasm doesn’t work so well on the blog. But I’m glad you have Internet access now. I can’t imagine having to go through the whole weekend without it. Just terrible!
