feet-on-the-beach

Do sit on the beach after slathering your pale legs with tons of sunscreen. Although apparently not
enough to prevent the slightest burn that was a bit painful only in the shower.

So last week at this time…um, I think I was still in bed. Actually, I may have just been getting up and saying goodbye to JP, my little southern nephew, before he headed to daycare and I headed out for a walk before going home. I spent last weekend in Tampa, visiting my nephew as well as my brother and sister-in-law, who are great hosts. We ate a lot, drank a lot, and ran a bit. Well, I ran a bit on Sunday, around noon, and realized the air couldn’t be thicker (sucks to my assmar!). While I was successful on Sunday, I mostly walked on Monday and Tuesday. I arrived on Saturday; Sunday was the beach day. I spent Monday with my brother. We went to lunch on the water, enjoyed a tasty beverage, and then did a little gambling. It was a very relaxing weekend. Except for that whole flying thing. Have I mentioned how much I hate flying? I guess I don’t really hate it; I hate the idea of crashing while on the plane. Nothing a little Ativan won’t help! I think it helped. I got a headache and fell asleep, so that works.

Anyway, since I won’t put photos of my nieces and nephews on my blog, and I mostly took photos of my nephew, you’re stuck with that shot of my pasty white legs on the beach. We saw some dolphins jumping, but you can’t really see them in any of the photos I attempted to take of them. Instead, you get the beached whale. Who knew whales had legs?
