So I took photos last week while helping my mother get her house ready for Passover. And I never posted them. And Passover ends tonight. Does anyone still want to see them? I doubt it. It was pictures of the counters all covered and the food all lined up on the table and us looking stupid (I could still post those if you want; I even had a name for said post: “Passover Wonderland” and no, it’s not clever, but whatevs). In any case, it’s been a very busy week and a half. All the family was in town for the seders, and lots of family visited over the weekend (which was a long one for me, since I took last Friday off from work!). And much fun was had with all the kids! The Pie, Mowgli (whose hair is not Mowgli-ish these days, so I may have to come up with yet another name for him), and The Duck are still in town, while NN (who I may start calling by his initials, JP…confused yet?) left last Sunday. We hadn’t seen JP (remember who he is now?) in months, and he’s even more adorable in person than in all the photos that are sent to us. What a sweet boy! The Pie, HWNANN (He Who Needs A New Name), and The Duck are also adorable and tons of fun. I’m going to miss them when they leave (although perhaps I’ll be less sleepy; I’ve been going to bed way too late while everyone’s in town).
In other news (OK, some of this isn’t news, just random thoughts):
1) Jive Turkey’s beautiful baby girl has arrived!
2) 9/9/09: The Day I Will Go Even Broker Than Broke
3) I’m tired of matzah. There. I said it. I can’t wait to eat oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow morning instead of matzah and cream cheese. And I could really go for some peanut butter, too. Also, this holiday has gotten the better of my usually pretty healthy eating style (sure, blame the holiday, fatso). I’m planning to get back to better habits next week (eating, exercise, that sort of thing). Next post: Help: My Plan Has Failed.
4) When you type in “However Absurd” in Google, you find my site with this description: “DarkOFluid is a dark shade 2 column fluid width with round corner and nifty jquery wordpress theme.” Anyone know how to get some other description to come up? Because that’s just a bunch o’ nonsense.
I had more to say, but I’ve forgotten it all. What about you?

You may refer to NN as JP on this site, if you must. It’s better than his other nickname, FA.
Also, I’m not sure who Jive Turkey is, but her new baby is cute as can be. A potential long distance romance for JP? I remember those first few days after JP came home. Good luck to you, Jive Turkey. But, we all know, if you can deliver a baby, you’re not a turkey!

Dude: JP it is! Because I never know when another NN will pop up (or out, actually). And you’re right, JP is better than FA (sorry I called him that…sort of).
Jive Turkey’s baby is just adorable. I’ll try to hook JP up with her! But it might mean going back up to Pennsylvania some day, so you may want to rethink that.

I am sooooo glad Passover is finished! I have thrown out any reminders of it (i.e. my half eaten box of matzah and the leftovers of my passover coffee cake). Welcome back bread products!!!! And the finger I sliced open making guacamole last weekend is now healed!
Jive Turkey – your baby is beautiful! Enjoy her and spoil her rotten!
Happy Friday everyone!!!

Lil: I’m also so happy that Passover is over! I celebrated by eating peanut butter on a bagel last night. And I had my oatmeal this morning. And my coffee from my regular, much better coffee maker tastes so delicious. And it’s a beautiful sunny day, it’s going to be almost 70 degrees, and it’s almost the weekend! What a glorious day!

I too am happy that the “festival” is finished. Now the Pie will be on to learning all about Shavuot, so she can fill Auntie Sara and me in on all the details.
Coffee is delish, peanut butter so tasty, and granola so crunchy.
However, it makes me sad because it means the Torontonians will be packing up and going home soon. But the good news is that Baby Circle’s surgery was a complete success!! Her head is no longer falling off and her leg has been reattached. Hooray for Baby Circle!

Mama: Cheers to you, Dr. Doll Saver! Now Baby Circle is perfect again.

Thank you, Sara, for clearing up for those who don’t know that Baby Circle is atually a doll, and Mama is not just performing any old surgery on her living room couch! Although I would hope that no one would think that an actual child would be named after a shape, unless you are into that sort of thing. Good work, Mama!
Yay to the end of Passover! See it next year!

Although, some people name their children after fruit and states….
Glad baby circle is fixed – and she didn’t have to go on an extended stay to the doll hospital – hooray for doctors who make house calls!
I am in Alb and looking forward to seeing the Torontonians and the Albanians today, and the Schenectadoid tonight.

LOVE the blog, dear. I’m a fan of anyone who’s funny and sardonic on her blog, because seriously, there’s too much saccharin out there sometimes. And I know what you mean about the matzah. I only had to eat it for one night (since I’m a shiksa or whatever it’s called), and while it was lovely, I couldn’t see myself eating it for the rest of Passover. You get a free pass for wavering on your healthy eating skedge.

Wiggs! Thanks for stopping by, shiksa. I tried to keep it healthy by eating only whole wheat matzah, but it doesn’t work when you eat it in massive quantities. I don’t think, anyway. But it’s back to business this week. I’ve been eating a bit better and I’ve been exercising regularly (I haven’t run so much this week, but Jillian has been kicking my ass in my living room). Anyhoo, come back soon!
