Cheers to my mom, who is having surgery in the morning. I love you, Mom. You’ll be fine…but you better follow directions (and that includes listening to me!).
Cheers to the 40th anniversary of The Beatles’ rooftop concert (this past Friday, January 30). Go here for my post from last year on the subject.
Cheers to “Better Know a Beatle!” Paul McCartney appeared in this segment on The Colbert Report:
Jeers to winter. I’ve had enough of it. I’m tired of boots, coats, scarves (actually, I like my scarf), layers, snow, ice, slush…get the idea?
Jeers to the Superbowl. I just don’t care. It’s just a game, folks. Cheers that it’s over!
Jeers that this may be my very worst cheers and jeers yet. Cheers that it’s over!

I hope your mom’s surgery went well! And I hope you don’t mind, but I just consider all people who don’t care about the Super Bowl to be Steelers fans by default. Because I love me some Steelers.

Thanks, JT. Her surgery did go well. Now it’s just a long road to recovery. And if it makes you feel better, you can pretend I’m a Steelers fan!
