The day we’ve all been waiting for: January 20, 2009. No, not because I have jury duty this morning. Today is the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States: Barack Hussein Obama. I won’t go on about how this is such an amazing time in our lives, I won’t go on about the change that’s going to happen, I won’t go on…well, I’m going on. So I’ll just post this video of Obama’s victory speech on election night (yes, I’ve posted this before, but watch it again).

Yes we can, President Obama!
Oh, and Bush, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Or let it. Whatever.

Oh boy! Jury duty! That means you get that fabulous stipend from your esteemed employer for doing your civic duty right? God bless America.

Yay for the new president. Or, as one of my pre-k students said today, “It’s a new day!”

Obama: YAY! Jury duty: BOO! I was not selected for the jury when I had jury duty a few years ago. I think it’s because the prosecution didn’t like what I had to say about the local police. Oops.

JT: I never get chosen for anything. Ever. Until Tuesday. I sat on a jury for a criminal trial for two days. It was slightly traumatic (really).
