This is a very exciting morning for me. I got up early(ish), worked out with my weights video, and then cooked myself a bowl of oatmeal, which I’m now eating while watching this interview with The Fireman (Paul McCartney and Youth):
This may not be so exciting for you, but it is for me. I’m usually still in bed right now, trying to get up; I would then wake up last minute and rush to get ready, then eat some dry cereal for breakfast at work (eventually). This is how I always want to start my morning: exercising (more later), eating a good, hot breakfast, checking the news, and blogging! Unfortunately, I still have to get ready for and go to work; I hope the rest of the day will be this productive (probably not, since we’ve been very slow).
Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and was able to enjoy the long weekend. I had a very quiet Thanksgiving day, for the most part, starting with a walk with my sister and then having a long marathon of eating with our mom. I meant to take some photos for the blog, but I guess that never happened. Friday night was karaoke night with the cousins and some friends. I was going to take photos for the blog that night, too, but I guess that never happened. The rest of the weekend was filled with catching up on the DVR, running a few errands, spending time with my family, and doing a whole lot of nothing. That’s my kind of weekend.
Off to watch the rest of the video before I have to get ready for work!

What a great start to the day!! Good for you!!
As for the marathon eating session – we can do that again this weekend with the newlyweds. They arrive on Friday afternoon.
See you then.
Keep up the good routine.

Thanks, Mama. It’s sure to happen again someday never, since I’m surprised I even managed to get up today. Actually, I was very surprised, especially since I was in bed for about an hour and a half before I fell asleep last night. Nothing like not enough sleep to get you going in the morning!

Good work, sister! I am awful in the morning, as you know. It is my least favorite time of day. But I certainly am proud of you for this morning.
As for marathon eating with the newlyweds….sounds exciting! What a way to catch up with family.

Having a job puts serious limitations on actually having a life. I routinely counsel people to get rid of that job thing and instead stay home to wrangle animals.

I’m not interested in wrangling animals, but I am interested in not working, as working does indeed get in the way of everything. As Oscar Wilde said, “Work is the curse of the drinking classes.” So true.
