According to this site, today is Absurdity Day! What a wonderful holiday to celebrate on my blog. And thanks to Doppel at Daily Kos for alerting me about this very important national holiday!
Anyway, I still haven’t been able to update WordPress, but I am able to get on the blog at work, finally; it hasn’t connected for the last few days. Not sure why; blog server problem, I think. But now it’s up and running, and I can write, which is a good thing since I have no work to do. None. Nothing at all. Well, I did proof an imprint this morning, so I’ve done 30 seconds of work. Almost time for a break before I strain my eyes from working so hard.
I don’t have much to write about, so I don’t know why I needed to get here so badly. Still nursing the cold, although my allergist told me this morning that two weeks is too long for it to be a cold. So it must be my dust allergies. Sucks to your ass-mar, basically. In any case, the cough is not due to a lung infection, so I suppose that’s good news.
Other good, not-so-interesting news: I made a new dish last night that was tasty: baked tofu! I always read about baked tofu on the food blogs, so I thought I’d try it, and it was pretty successful. I made it along with some roasted sweet potatoes, which were the best part of the meal. Last week I made a big pot o’ lentil soup; good batch. That’s still hanging around. And I bought new silverware last weekend!
Yes, this is my exciting life. I’m looking forward to an unplanned weekend, and then it’ll just be the countdown until the long weekend after the short work week. Is everyone planning a relaxing pre-Thanksgiving weekend?

Oh God. I just had a terrible flashback to days of boredom and inactivity at work, fighting over jobs and making an imprint last for, like, 20 minutes when everyone KNOWS it takes 20 seconds. Gah.
Your foods sound nummy. I am now considering lentil soup for dinner tonight . . .

I had a terrible flashback, too. Oh wait. It’s real. I’m back here today. And thanks, Kristin, for the food comment (and for stopping by here, actually)! I could go for some more of those potatoes right now, and I’ll probably have some more soup tonight; it’s freezing here.

I can attest that all the foods mentioned were quite tasty! Good work, Sara.
