Actually, I’m watching Lost on the G4 network. And I’m procrastinating; I don’t even want to go to bed because that would be like admitting the weekend is over. What the what?
Anyway, I thought, since I’m up, I’d update the blog. Last week, I had a few vacation days to use (I had put in for them months ago). I thought about taking a staycation, but instead, I did what I originally planned to do with those days off: I visited The Pie, Mowgli (formerly known as TCG, or The Crazy Guy, and I don’t like that; two kids I babysat called me Crazy Sara for a short time, and I hated it; plus, he looks like Mowgli from The Jungle Book), and The Duck. Miriam went with me. Despite a not-so-fun drive there, we had a great time. The Pie is a funny girl who had some classic lines last weekend; ask her what a lifedude is. And she asked her mother (three times) if she knows what a split pea is. When her mother answered “yes,” The Pie asked, “Well, can you tell me what it is?” Mowgli loves reading and doing puzzles (and anything that has to do with letters!). He also behaved (mostly) when we went out to eat. He didn’t even reach in my glass for ice or point at me while yelling “you can’t arrest me, Auntie Sara!” (in response to me telling him no) like he did the last time we went out. And The Duck is a sweet little girl with one little curl coming out the side of her head. Adorable kids.
The ride home was much better, followed by a three-day work week (which still felt like a five-day work week). I didn’t do much this weekend. I’m still nursing a cold (that started before, but wasn’t helped by, the visit with the nieces and nephew), so I took it pretty easy, only doing a bit of exercising and the usual weekend shopping. Oh, and I did manage to buy a new winter coat today, complete with only a minor breakdown. Just in time for highs in the 30s this week!
Must go to bed now. Just ten more days until another long weekend (I’m already counting down!). That would coincide with Thanksgiving, of course. But first, let’s get through this week. Any big plans for the week?

You know, now that you mention it, he does totally look like Mowgli. Good call.

Well, it was a nice visit…despite illness. And coldness. But it is always fun to see the kids.

I hate Sundays. They’re so lonely. … No plans for the week. Might have some girls over to watch the finale of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” but it hasn’t been firmed up yet. Yeah, that really is the highlight.

I totally hate Sundays, which are just filled with anticipation of the week to follow. My big plans for the week include catching up on the shows that are on (and will be on) the DVR! Woo-hoo!
