Well, no one commented on my last post. That’s OK; I guess it was really just for me anyway (sort of). Perhaps this will get you guys going. Like everyone else on so many other blogs today, I’d like to remember George Carlin, who passed away last night.
I remember watching this first clip with my mom so many years ago; we were both laughing so hard. Definitely one of my favorites. In fact, my mom called me at work this morning just to ask me about my stuff!
And this is one of the funniest things ever:
George Carlin also had a lot to say politically. Here’s a clip from when he was on Keith Olbermann’s show.
Someone else mentioned on another blog that George Carlin always called Bush “Governor Bush” because that was the last office to which he was elected. That’s amazing. Anyway, go to You Tube and look up some more George Carlin clips. He was hilarious…and knew what he was talking about. I’ll leave you with this one that proves it:

Will you think less of me if I tell you I didn’t really know who Geroge Carlin was? I had heard the name of course, and I knew he was a comedian, but I couldn’t bring the face to mind.

I won’t think less of you, but I’d be sad for you. You’ve been missing out.

George Carlin was a genius who’s special brand of entertainment will be sorely missed. I too thought immediately of the “stuff” routine when I heard of his passing. I also liked his sketch about where all the socks that disappear in the laundry go…somewhere there is a huge pile of socks….perhaps he is now sitting atop it.

…that one is for my husband…
It’s like he’s talking about our life specifically. The stuff. And especially the sock pile…
Not that I am a supporter, but Bush was elected to the second term in office. Just sayin’.

But he wasn’t elected the first time. And if he hadn’t been in office already, he probably wouldn’t have been elected in 2004, either.
