Well, I actually read the lease a few days ago. Miriam and I finally signed it and put it in the lessor’s mailbox yesterday. And today we went out shopping for things to furnish our new apartment. We didn’t actually purchase anything (well, Miriam bought a comforter for the bed she doesn’t have). I’m feeling a bit more anxious than excited right now. I’m sure it will be fine once we’re moved in, despite the fact that I keep mentioning to Miriam that the place has no outdoor space, except for the grassy area next to the building on which I plan to sit in the fold-up lawn chair (with cupholder!) Lil said I could have. So when the weather gets nice, you should be inviting me to sit on your patios or porches, OK?
So the apartment isn’t exactly what I was aiming for. But it’s a nice, clean, safe starter apartment, with hardwood floors, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a big walk-in closet in the room I’ll probably take. Move-in day is in a few weeks. I’ll try to post some before and after pictures after that.

Thanks, Adam. I am also anxious, but am sure things will get easier once we get into the groove. And hopefully, it will be a smooth move.

Congratulations on your new abode. I look forward to seeing the photos - Moo, there is probably a fold up chair for you as well! Start packing now - it will take a while to sort through everything.
