Acer has finally agreed to replace my laptop. I called there last week because my computer is beyond ridiculous with all its errors (now I can barely get it to load Windows at all; it takes multiple tries and at least a half hour to do that), and I told the guy that I think he would agree that after trying to fix it three times, the only solution is to replace it. Apparently, they finally agreed with me on something, and my new model is on a truck somewhere close to my house to be delivered this afternoon. I’m a bit worried because it has Windows Vista instead of XP. I’ve never used Vista and haven’t heard too many positive things about it, but we’ll see. Also, Acer has a hold on my credit card of (a lot of) dollars until they receive my old piece of crap back, so I’ll be on edge until they get it. In any case, here’s hoping that this computer will work for a while! (Miriam is home sick today and just called, as I was writing this, to say the computer has arrived! Yay!)

On a completely unrelated note, yesterday was Uncle Corky’s unveiling. And in case you didn’t notice, the Red Sox kicked ass last night and are going to the World Series! Coincidence?
