I usually don’t mind a leisurely weekend with no plans. But this weekend is not one of those. There are things to do!
First is a party on Saturday celebrating Aunt Dorie’s 80th birthday. It should be a fun time, and I’m looking forward to spending time with my cousins.
Second is a graduation party on Sunday. A kid who was in my mom’s day care a long (obviously!) time ago has graduated high school! Crazy. It’s so nice that they invited us to stop by his party. He’s a great kid.
So there is some time for leisure, but also some plans, which actually may be a perfect balance.
What are your weekend plans?

Hi Sara,
This weekend we’re heading to a Unitarian Universalist (UU) camp in the Adirondacks. My partner’s the Director of Religious Ed at our church, and we’ll be attending a Religious Ed. retreat there. We’re bringing along the kids and the dog, and the weather’s supposed to be lovely (if a bit cool). There will be workshops and hikes and kid activities (so plenty of grownup time) so I’ve got high hopes for a very refreshing time.

Nothing like a relaxing weekend in the mountains. The Adirondacks are beautiful this time of year. Lush with greenery and so many trails to walk for hours. Have a wonderful time redlami.
I will be partying with Sara and our family. What better than to spend time with the ones you really care about.
Mazal Tov Dorie - many more healthy birthdays to you!
Congratulations Zach - May all of your dreams and wishes come to fruition!

We will have a nice weekend. I almost forgot about all the fun things we have to do.
Happy birthday Aunt Dorie and congrats to Zach! It is always nice celebrating big events with important people in your lives.
I will also be spending time at the JCC this weekend…camp starts on Monday!

…all I know that my plans do NOT include any work for school! No more pencils, no more books, no more of my dirty looks. There are 4 more days of cleaning, meetings, meetings, and meetings, but no students, so who cares?
Don’t you love summer vacation? Oh! Sorry…
