It’s been a long time since I posted anything. Why? Because I’m boring. I don’t have much to say (don’t tell that to Liz, who gets to read my nothingness filled with misery all the time via e-mail). But I thought I’d fill all my loyal readers in on my nothingness with some random thoughts.

Last weekend Miriam and I went to Britt and Brad’s party. Britt is a friend of mine from my college days; she and Brad recently eloped, so her mom threw a small party for them. It was a lot of fun, with lots of food (her mom was all about making sure we knew what was vegetarian) and lots of nice people. Good times.

Here’s a random event that happened at work: a woman from Account Services, who I’ve talked to on the phone and in person many times, came to our department to introduce a new account manager (AM) to us. She went to my supervisor and said she didn’t know anyone else in the department (besides me, there are two other women here who are relatively new). The woman introduces me to the new AM and then says, “Hi, I’m ____ from Account Services.” I just say “hi.” She then says to my supervisor, “so you have a whole new department here!” My supervisor replies, “Well, except Sara.” I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to everyone at my office: Hi, I’m Sara. I’ve worked here for more than two and a half years. I’m not really that insulted that most of you don’t know me, but Ms. Blank from Account Services, you should know how many times we’ve talked before. Nice to meet you.

What else? Not much. We’re heading to my grandmother’s this weekend for a visit. There’s talk of a possible gambling trip, so we’ll see if that happens. In the meantime, I need to start a list of things to do before I leave work early tomorrow at 3:30 to get on the road:
1) exercise
2) laundry
3) pack
4) write a list of what to pack
5) switch the order of “pack” and “write a list of what to pack” on this list
6) get back to work
