It sure did! The toes are still shiny and red, although because it’s so dark you can see it growing out sooner than you could otherwise. The feet still aren’t back to normal. I have one toe that is numb and sore all at the same time. I didn’t even know that was possible.
Wow. I can’t stop staring. It would be one thing if you were caught in the rain - in a muddy field. But that’s purely from dirty city streets. So gross. So, so gross. But yet I…can’t…look…away.
Your polish may still look good but seriously your feet could use another soak in the pedicure tub, I’m tempted to start taking a collection.
Liz, it’s not from dirty streets. It’s from the flip-flops! Had I known we’d be walking for closer to 10 miles instead of just a few, I probably would’ve worn sneakers. Then they’d be a little less sore and a lot less dirty looking. But hey, I’m up for another soak if you take up the collection!
Yeah… I think a different kind of footwear for Chicago might have been a good idea. Especially with the things I’ve seen being put on the Chicago streets whenever I’m there… or the things my brother has seen living there.
At least you had a good time. I love Chicago and try to take my daughters there a LOT as all it is for us is a simple Metro ride.
Good to see you here, Kemp! Yes, next time I go (hopefully I’ll go back, I had a good time), perhaps I’ll reconsider my footwear. There’s still lots to see there. The one thing I’m really sad I missed? The Fest for Beatles Fans (formerly known as Beatlefest) was there this weekend! And I didn’t go! Crazy.

Mom, it sure was a good time. A bit annoying at the time, but pretty hilarious now if you think about it. I’m a Dirt(y) Girl for sure!

OK, flip flop gunk is not as bad as dirty street gunk. I no longer picture gum, spit, and who knows what on the bottom of your feet.
But I’ll still take a collection!

No no, they’re not hairy.

Looks like a good foot massage or a little tickling might help those tootsies out a bit!!
