So on a site I visit daily (dailykos.com) there’s a daily “Cheers and Jeers” post. I thought today I’d post one here, much like I do there, but not the same one I posted there today (still following?).
Cheers to me for getting up early for a run today.
Jeers to my bum knee, causing me to mostly walk. But I feel good that I got that done with for the day.
Cheers to finally having the correct version of The Beatles: The Capitol Albums Vol. 2 to listen to at work today.

Jeers to me for feeling sorry for myself for stupid reasons and then watching real sadness on the news.
Cheers to Al Gore! Check out this link, where he calls Bush a “renegade rightwing extremist.”
I thought I had more to write, but maybe later. In the meantime, here’s an unreleased Paul McCartney song that I love (and was thinking of today):
(Lyrics copied and pasted from macca-central.com.)
Back On My Feet
How many days will the wet weather last?
I want to know will the clouds
When they roll back
Reveal a man in an old mac
Living on a park bench
Sitting on his own?Cut to the rain as it runs down the glass
Eventually through the lightning and thunder
We see a man going under
This is how it happens
This is what he saidI don’t need love
Though temptation is sweet
Give me your hand
‘Til I’m back on my feet
You’re always telling me about my misery
I’ve seen things you’ll never see
Don’t pity meFocus in on the breath of a man
Who takes a brown paper bag
From his knapsack
Between his whispers and wise cracks
He’s looking for permission
Screaming at the skyI don’t need love
though temptation is sweet
Give me your hand
‘Til I’m back on my feet
You’re always telling me about my misery
I’ve seen things you’ll never see
Don’t pity meI’ll be right again
Be upright without you
I’ll stand up again
Kick up a fuss again tooCut back again to a girl walking by
Until the feet that are all shoes and no socks
Climb an invisible soap box
Laughing at the traffic
Shouting at the worldI don’t need love
though temptation is sweet
Give me your hand
‘Til I’m back on my feet
You’re always telling me about my misery
I’ve seen things you’ll never see
Don’t pity meI’ll stand up again
Kick up a fuss again too
I’ll be right again
Be upright without youWe see a life through the eyes of a man
As he live and he dies
By a simple tattooI’ll be back again
When I land on my feet
I’ll stand up again
Kick up a fuss again, wouldn’t youWell there you go, though we tried hard to know him
It’s there on his face
He’s a case where there’s clearly no hopeGive me your hand again
‘Til I land againHis face starts to fade
As we pull down the shade
And the picture we made
Is in glorious cinemascopeI’ll be back…

Exercise in the morning? Before work? I don’t get it.

I did it again this morning too! Just got back and thought I’d check the blog while waiting for the shower. Craziness!

Good job on the AM workouts. I can’t exercise in the morning — that’s when I’m at my sleepiest! Plus, I need a full day of work-stress before I can work out.

I’m always sleepy, so I was thinking that it’s worth it to get up a little early and do a little something…then I have a whole night of laziness to look forward to! And that’s what I like most, being lazy. And drinking. Lazy drinking. Hey, thanks! Now I have plans for tonight!
